3) Ramblers Café Bar Part of the Inn On the Lake, they serve “good wholesome fresh food” and you can keep your boots on if you want 4) Fell Bites Café Next to the tourist info centre, serves “wholesome hearty meals for the weary hiker”! You can do a “Cruise & Lunch” deal with the local lake “steamers” as well
5) Inn on the Lake 5 course dinner menu available if you’d like to eat out a little more formally. 6) Fairlights Opposite Fell Bites, serves snacks and teas all day
7) Ratcher’s Tavern Restaurant & Pizzeria serves a variety of tasty dishes 8) Moss Crag Traditional Lakeland tearoom serving home baked cakes and quality teas & coffees
9)Kilner’s Coffee House Next to Ratcher’s, serves tea and cakes and all-day light snacks 10) Glenridding Steamer Pier House Not just a ferry landing, this award-winning bit of architecture also doubles up as a coffee shop with the best views in town! They serve gifts, books, snacks and sandwiches and soup as well


1) The White Lion Traditional pub food in a cosy traditional Lakeland pub
2) The Patterdale Hotel The menu changes daily, but they assure me that they serve quality meals in their newly refurbished bar area!

 1) The Gate, Yanwath 10 miles up the Lake Road, this is a great restaurant – especially for lovers of fish, but they have something for veryone at slightly higher prices. They serve fine afternoon teas and you can book evening meals in the dining room if you fancy getting dressed-up a bit! 3) The Brackenrigg Inn Just after the Leeming House – a traditional Lakeland Inn with stunning views across the northern end of the lake.
